Author:Anna Hamakoji, Issue: April 2003, Topic: Bicycles
Did you know that there is a safe place to park your bicycle when taking the bus to Tokyo or elsewhere? The Tsukuba Center Bicycle Parking will look after your bicycle from 6am-10pm for only a 100 yen. If you tell them you will be back later than 10pm, they will keep it near the entrance so that you can pick it up even after the staff has gone home. According to the staff, there have not been any thefts yet. You can keep it for more than one day too, of course. Just tell them when you will pick it up and pay in advance. If you want to park there every day, you can rent a space per month too. The location of the parking lot is just beside the place where the bus from Tokyo stops to drop people off, under the pedestrian bridge.
