The Tsukuba Christian Center has a book exchange with hundreds of books to choose from. Feel free to drop by any time to browse through what's available, and drop off any good books you no longer want so that others can enjoy them. You are free to either keep or return the books. As there is not enough space to display all the books on hand, volunteers are needed to help organize the library. If you have some spare time and the interest, this is a good way to serve the community.
A large selection of videos, including religious and secular movies and children's videos (Disney, etc.) are also available for loan. There is a list posted in the Christian Center for your perusal.
The International Women's Network (IWN) is a group of women who enjoy chatting with people from all over the world. We hold a monthly potluck dinner where we exchange information about the local community while eating a variety of foods. No reservation is needed to attend the potluck. Just bring one dish of food and show up at the meeting. Newcomers are always welcome! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy the international city of Tsukuba with us!
