Coffee Hour: French Wines

Author: Author unknown, Issue: June 1997, Topic: Coffee hour

International Exchange Room Coffee Hour June 11th

As part of its activities, the Tsukuba Information Center sponsors a bilingual discussion group the second Wednesday of every month from 2 to 4 pm, with invited guests giving a presentation from their area of expertise or experience. The guest for June is Mr. Therry Desroy, who will be speaking about French wines. A native of France, Mr. Desroy will be sharing the secrets to choosing good wines, along with hints as to how to enjoy them and interesting stories related to wines. So whether you are a veteran wine connoisseur or a novice, come an enjoy an afternoon. Presumably, there will be some wine samples, but even if not, there will definitely be coffee and tea, along with some tasty snacks to munch on. You are, of course, free to come and go as you like anytime. So drop by, whether for a short time or for the whole two hours.

The International Women's Network (IWN) is a group of women who enjoy chatting with people from all over the world. We hold a monthly potluck dinner where we exchange information about the local community while eating a variety of foods. No reservation is needed to attend the potluck. Just bring one dish of food and show up at the meeting. Newcomers are always welcome! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy the international city of Tsukuba with us!
