As part of its activities, the information center sponsors a coffee hour discussion group every second Wednesday of the month from 2 to 4 pm, with invited guests giving a presentation from their area of expertise or experience. The guest for October 9th is Alireza Babaei, and employee of JICA. Having grown up in the Islamic faith in the county of Iran, Mr. Babaei has been asked to share about his country and the Middle East in general.
In this age of internationalization, peoples from all over the world are rubbing shoulders and thus need to overcome prejudices and misunderstandings. This is a good opportunity to learn about the concerns and issues of the many Islamic peoples in the world. So come and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and some cookies while learning from this month's guest.
