Author: Sarah Stark, Issue: June 2004, Topic: Books
In case you haven't heard, you can get newspapers from all over the world printed out at Tower Records (top floor) in Shibuya. Costs are somewhere between 420 yen (average is 420 yen to 588 yen) up to 1092 yen for bigger, week-end editions (I don't know whether they print out the supplements).
Quote: "The newspaper is printed onto A3 size paper, dual side print and stapled at one position. Due to the publishers' choice, some pages may be eliminated, such as full page ad, classified pages."
Strangely enough there are no Australian or Irish papers available, but otherwise: New Zealand (Dominion Post), South Africa (Beeld, Die Burger, Sunday Times of Johannesburg), Canada (7 different papers), USA (about 25?), UK (13), France (4).
Also available: Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Iceland, India, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Netherlands, Norway, Phillipines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA
This service is ONLY available at the Shibuya TR, not in Shinjuku, not in Ikebukuro!
