Author: Tsukuba Information Center, Issue: September 1998, Topic: Classes
Each month, on the first, second and third Wednesdays, the Tsukuba Information Center offers a free ikebana class from 9:40 am to 12:00 noon. Ms. Mitsuho Unno, from the Kyoto Koryu School, teaches the class, though, of course, the students have to pay for the flowers, which are provided. In addition to the 1300 yen flower fee, each student needs to bring a shallow flower vase, scissors, a small bowl, a towel and a plastic bag. For more information, call the Information Center at 52-6789 and ask for Ms. Nemoto or Ms. Nishikawa, or drop by and submit an application form. You can start up at any time.

The International Women's Network (IWN) is a group of women who enjoy chatting with people from all over the world. We hold a monthly potluck dinner where we exchange information about the local community while eating a variety of foods. No reservation is needed to attend the potluck. Just bring one dish of food and show up at the meeting. Newcomers are always welcome! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy the international city of Tsukuba with us!
