Foreign residents of Tsukuba and adjacent cities are invited to take part in a free ikebana flower arranging class on the first, second and third Wednesdays of each month from 9:40 am to 12 noon. Ms. Mitsuho Unno, of the Kyoto Koryu School, teaches all who come the basics of Japanese flower arranging. The only things you need to bring are a shallow flower vase, a pair of scissors, a small bowl to hold water, a hand towel, a plastic bag and ´1300 for the flowers you will use.
You need to register, so drop by the Information Center during regular hours and fill out an application form. For more information, please call Ms. Nemoto or Ms. Nishikawa at the Information Center (52-6789). You can join the class at any time.
