Japanese Conversation Course: April 2006

TCF (Tsukuba Cultural Foundation) will be holding the 28th Japanese Conversation Course for foreign people who live or work in Tsukuba and wish to learn everyday Japanese conversation. The course is designed for beginner level students as well as for people who have learned Japanese before.

Classes

1. Japanese 1
For people who have no experiences of learning Japanese.
Textbook: Japanese in 45 Hours
Tuesdays

2. Japanese 2
For people who have studied Japanese for more then 50 hours, can introduce themselves and can read hiragana and katakana.
Textbook: Japanese in 45 Hours
Tuesdays

3. Write & Learn
For people who want to learn and memorize katakana and kanji.
Textbook: none designated
Tuesdays

4. Japanese 3
For people who have studied Japanese for more than 100 hours, have an understanding of noun modifiers and can write hiragana and katakana.
Textbook: Japanese in 45 Hours and others
Thursdays

5. Japanese 4
For people who have studied Japanese for more than 150 hours, can express their hopes and intents and speak Japanese in full sentences.
Textbook: Japanese in 45 Hours and others
Thursdays

6. Nihongo no Kai
For people who have studied Japanese more than 200 hours, who have the ability equivalent to or higher than the 3rd level of Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or who can talk about any topic and express their ideas in Japanese (even if it is not perfect).

Thursdays

[APPLICANTS]
Applicants must be foreign people who live or work in Tsukuba or the families of such people and who wish to improve their Japanese language skills.

[CLASS SCHEDULE]
(Tuesday Class) April 4 to September 14 (20 sessions)
(Thursday Class) April 6 to September 7 (20 sessions)

[HOURS]
From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

[LOCATION]
Tsukuba Capio (1-10-1 Takezono, Tsukuba City)

[ADMISSION]
Limited to 15 applicants for each class

[COST]
6,000 yen (new students)
5,000 yen (returning students to TCF)
*Please take note that there will not be any refund.

[TEXTBOOK]
Not included in the cost. Please pay for the textbook on the first day of the class.

[HOW TO REGISTER]
Please pick up an application form from the office of TCF from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. (Closed Mondays)
