Medical Recommendations: Dermatologists

Author: Shaney Crawford, Issue: May 2004, Topic: Medical

Tsukuba Mitsui Building Dermatologist (Tsukuba Mitsui Biru Hifuka)

There is an English speaking dermatologist on the 4th floor of the Mitsui Building (the tall white building shaped like an electric razor beside Jusco and Seibu.) Takezono 1-6-1, 0298-56-5515 (tel), 0298-56-3636 (fax). Open from 9am to 6pm. Closed on Thursdays, Sundays, and Holidays.

ED's note: This clinic has moved to the Citia Building (near Tsukuba Public Library).

Kawagoe Dermatology Clinic

I don't think the doctor here can speak English, but I have heard good things about the treatment (although the waiting time for an appointment can be very long). It is in Takezono near Kasumi. Takezono 2-14-1, 029-851-1241 (tel). Open from 9:30am to 12noon and 3:30pm to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Dermatology section of Tsukuba Gakuen Hospital

I have received treatment at this hospital (on the way to the Yatabe Branch Office) and it was fine. I don't think the doctor can speak English here either. Call 029-836-6688 to make an appointment. Weekdays 9am to 4pm, Saturdays 9am to noon.
