Tsukuba University is offering a special class for elementary school age children in handball. Open to 50 children, the classes will be held every Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 16 through Dec. 8, with the Saturday sessions being from 2 to 4:30 pm and the Sunday sessions being 9 to 11:30 am. The cost is 6700 yen plus 400 yen for sports insurance.
In order to register, you must send (or bring) in your application by Oct. 18 to the "kokai Kakari" on the 7th floor of the main administration building (1-1-1 Tenodai) together with a stamped, self-addressed envelope. If more than 50 apply, a drawing will be held. At any rate, you will be notified of your acceptance. For further information, call 53-2216.
The International Women's Network (IWN) is a group of women who enjoy chatting with people from all over the world. We hold a monthly potluck dinner where we exchange information about the local community while eating a variety of foods. No reservation is needed to attend the potluck.
