TIS Needs Volunteers

Author:Author unknown, Issue: March 2000, Topic: Volunteering

Tsukuba International School is indebted to its volunteers who help the two full-time teachers. Volunteers come in at specific times to help with specific tasks, and at present volunteers are helping with art, music, Japanese and ESL classes. The present needs of TIS are an English speaking person to help the children with their once-a-week art class and two addition native speakers to help with the Japanese language classes. Likewise, as several of the children are not native English speakers, they need extra help in mastering English, and any help volunteers can give (even on an occasional basis) would be most welcome. If you are interested in helping out at the school in these areas, please call the school at 47-0330 or Melissa Ishio at 38-1374 or email at melissa[at]sicembears.com.
