The Tsukuba Catholic Church in Matsushiro (near Hanamasa) will hold its annual bazaar on Oct. 15 (Sunday) from 10 am to 1 pm. A variety of items, such as used clothes, bags, shoes, household utensils, hand-made crafts and many more items will be sold at cheap prices. A lot of English books and potted flowering plants will be on sale too. It is also a chance for you to enjoy delicious dishes and delicacies not only from Japan but also from Africa, Brazil, Indonesia, Ireland, Korea, and the Philippines. This year's bazaar aims to raise funds to support, among others, organizations working for street children, abandoned/poor children and aged people in Kenya and the Philippines.
