As it does every year, Tsukuba Festival '96 will feature folk dances and ethnic foods. Billed as an International Exchange Fair, this event is an opportunity to share your own cultural background while learning about people from all over the world. The events each day will be held from 10 am until 5 pm on the Tsukuba Center Square and around the pond next to the Expo Center. If you would like to perform or set up a booth, call Tsukuba Cultural Foundation at 56-7007.
In addition to the International Exchange Fair, the Miss Tsukuba Contest will also be judged on the 12th at the Expo Center, and there will be a special soccer clinic for 3rd to 6th grade children held on the 12th from 10 - 12 and 1:30 - 3:30 on the Azuma Elementary School playground (just across the street from the festival site).
