About a year ago, I asked my university to create a mailing list for international students. I think that international students miss out on a lot of information and we would really benefit from having a forum to share the information that does trickle down to us. However, I think the university was reluctant to create a list like that in case there was any trouble. Since then, I have been meaning to create the list on my own, but I guess I got sidetracked with other projects. The other day, I finally sat down and did it.
If you are a student, please consider joining this list. I hope we can help each other out by sharing relevant information with each other.
The Tsukuba International Students group is a mailing list for all things of interest to international students in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. The list is open to anyone (all schools/universities, all nationalities, all occupations, etc.), however all messages sent to this mailing list should be relevant to people who (1) are coming to Tsukuba to study, (2) are in Tsukuba studying now, or (3) have studied in Tsukuba in the past.
To join, please send a blank email to the following address tsukubastudent-subscribe AT yahoogroups.com
You can also sign up online:
I have made an introductory web page for this group at the following address:
Please consider joining this list if you are a student or if you would like to help the international students in Tsukuba. Also, please forward this information to anyone who might be interested in joining.
If you have any questions about this new list, please contact me tsukubastudent-owner AT yahoogroups.com
