Tsunami Assistance

Author: Shaney Crawford, Issue: January 2005, Topic: Donations

Tsukuba has many international families from the areas that were affected by the earthquake and tsunami originating in Sumatra. If you are interested in making a donation to help relief efforts, please read the following.

The Japanese Red Cross Society is accepting donations between December 28, 2004 and January 31, 2005. Donations can be sent through the postal banking system to the JRC's account (00110-2-5606). If you make the donation via a teller (rather than an ATM), please fill out the furikae form and write "Sumatra Earthquake Support" on it. If you use a teller, the transfer fee will be waived. If you want a reciept, please indicate that on the comments section of the furikae form.
