Christmas Past Coming To Tsukuba

Author: Author Unknown, Issue: November 1995, Topic: Events

The next best thing to being home for the holidays, some imported Christmas spirit will be presented by the Taproot Theater Company of Seattle USA. This year's English drama, "A Christmas Past", is a beautiful trio of legends and stories that touch the heart of Christmas. Mary and Joseph, the Wise Men, and Martin the Shoemaker by Leo Tolstoy will be brought to life by two professional actors to bring added joy to your Christmas celebrations.

You can see the play at the following locations:

Sunday Dec. 24, Tsuchiura Megumi Church 9 to 10 am; Tsukuba Catholic Church from 12:00 to 1:00 pm and at the International Service at Tsukuba Gakuen Church from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

There will also be a special showing the previous night in a "Dessert Theater" at the Tsukuba Christian Center from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. This will feature live dinner music, various tantalizing desserts and drinks and lively decorations. Tickets for the event are available for 1500yen. For information, call Margaret at 56-7748 (tel/fax). A written summary in Japanese will be provided. So mark your calendars. Creative House Events
