Foreign Buyers Club Order For TIS

Author: Author unknown, Issue: January 1997, Topic: Donations, Shopping

The semiannual fund raising FBC order for the international school is scheduled of the school. The Tsukuba group has likewise been designating its 5% volume discount to the school for a net benefit to the school of 10% of the value of the general catalog order (deli and book orders not included).

As usual, interested parties meet at the Tsukuba Christian Center/YMCA building and haggle over which items to order in the cheaper case prices. If you can use a full case of something, then there's no need to bargain of course, but for some items, you'll want to buy only a part of a case. So bring a list of the partial cases you are interested in and if there are others willing to fill out the rest of the case, you're all set.

The new 1997 catalogs are now available at the YMCA center in the entranceway. If you are not able to attend the order session, you can still add your order (provided the items are in case or trial case units as in the catalog) to the main order by phoning it in to Margaret Tweet at 55-7748 (phone and fax) by Feb. 11.

The International Women's Network (IWN) is a group of women who enjoy chatting with people from all over the world. We hold a monthly potluck dinner where we exchange information about the local community while eating a variety of foods. No reservation is needed to attend the potluck. Just bring one dish of food and show up at the meeting. Newcomers are always welcome! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy the international city of Tsukuba with us!
