Japanese Classes: Spring 2002

Tsukuba Information Center will accept applicants for Japanese Language Classes. The classes will focus on the functional side of the language. You can hear and learn vivid Japanese.

1. Conditions for Acceptance

Applicants must be foreign residents living in or near Tsukuba and can attend all classes for 6 months.

2. Levels

Introductory: Those who are studying Japanese for the first time.
Beginner I: Those who can read HIRAGANA and know some basic conversation.
Beginner II: Those who have studied Japanese for more than 6 months using HIRAGANA and KATAKANA.

3. Details

From April 16 (Tue) 2002 to September 24 (Tue) 2002 / 17 classes
Every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Tsukuba Information Center (1-10-1 Azuma Tsukuba)

4. Participants

About 25 applicants for Introductory class
About 20 applicants for Beginner I class
About 20 applicants for Beginner II classv

5. Cost

1000 yen for teaching materials (for 6 months)

6. Registration and Interview Date

February 26 (Tue) from 10:00 a.m. to noon. (First come, first served.) Please come to the Tsukuba Information Center to fill in the application form and have a short interview with the instructors.
